If there's one remake I'm actually looking forward to, it's Adam Gierasch's take on the 1988 classic Night of the Demons. The original flick totally rocked, and Adam is just disturbed enough to really make this one work!
Seven Arts Distribution announced today that the movie has been slated for an October 9th, 2009 release. The remake, written by Gierasch and Jace Anderson, sports itself quite the genre pedigree as evidenced by its cast of Diora Baird, Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Bobbi Sue Luther, Jonathan Beach, Michael Copon, Tiffany Shepis, and Edward Furlong.
So what's it about? "Angela Feld is throwing the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties at the infamous Broussard Mansion in New Orleans, where dark events transpired almost a century ago. But when the packed party gets busted by the police, Angela and her friends Maddie, Lily, Suzanne, Colin, Dex and Jason are the only ones left behind. Soon Colin and Angela make a grisly discovery in the basement and inexplicable events start to take place. With the mansion gates mysteriously locked, the seven find themselves trapped for the night...and soon they're fighting ancient demons for their very souls.

At 29, Monica Keena may be pushing the age charts to qualify as a young Hollywooder, but the actress who played one on TV -- Kristen, Eric's girlfriend on HBO's "Entourage" -- took the very grown-up step of buying a house in the Hollywood Hills.
Keena, best known for her role as Abby Morgan on the teen drama "Dawson's Creek," paid $1.05 million for a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home. It has 1,386 square feet and was built in 1925.
The actress played Rachel Lindquist on the TV comedy series "Undeclared" from 2001 to '03 and appears in the 2008 action film "Loaded."
